Mia Poinsette Honored with Two Awards During the 2023 Women on the Rise Awards Gala

During its annual Women on the Rise Awards Gala, Women on the Rise Orlando recognized our Founder and Executive Director, Mia Poinsette, with two prestigious awards highlighting her contributions to the Central Florida community:

Community Impact Leader Award
This distinguished honor is given to a woman whose efforts have significantly changed the trajectory of the Central Florida area. Since its inception in April 2022, the Poinsette Foundation has cultivated partnerships with 92 community organizations, invested nearly $300,000, and contributed more than 1,500 volunteer hours to organizations across our community.

With a focus on educational initiatives, the organization is guided by a disruptive philanthropic approach that addresses gaps in service, fulfills immediate needs, and leads as a catalyst for change through invitation-only grant-making.

Inspirational Leader Award
In addition to her community-wide impact, Mia was honored with the Inspirational Leader Award, which recognizes her exceptional work empowering women and girls.

These awards reflect the work of the Poinsette Foundation and the organization’s commitment to transforming lives and creating a more equitable and supportive community for all.
