ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 4, 2024) – The Poinsette Foundation recently partnered with the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts as the exclusive sponsor for a community giveback event where over 100 community members and children had the opportunity to experience Clare and the Chocolate Nutcracker.
“We believe in the power of providing children with first-time access to real-world experiences,” said Mia Poinsette, founder and executive director of the Poinsette Foundation. “We were thrilled to play a role in helping children from our community discover the transformative power of the arts.”
The Poinsette Foundation sponsored two participating groups:
- L.A.N.E.S. Teenage Girls – a nonprofit youth mentoring organization for girls in middle and high school.
- West Lakes Partnership – an organization dedicated to preserving family housing in the five neighborhoods (Rock Lake, Lake Lorna Doone, Lake Sunset, Bunche Manor/Hollando, and Clear Lake Cove) near Camping World Stadium.
The Dr. Phillips Center began this Community Giveback initiative in 2017 and has since invited over 130 various groups, clubs, schools, first responders, veterans, accessibility organizations and more for these experiences.
