Poinsette Foundation Partners with the Dr. Phillips Center to Sponsor a Community Giveback Event Featuring Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 13, 2024) – In its ongoing commitment to social impact, the Poinsette Foundation recently collaborated with the Dr. Phillips Center as the exclusive sponsor for a community giveback event, highlighting the 65th-anniversary season of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The initiative underscores the foundation’s distinctive approach of channeling its resources into a singular, impactful cause each month. The recent effort brought together five youth and women-focused organizations to experience the magic of Alvin Ailey’s renowned dance performances.

“We were thrilled to support this extraordinary event that focused on exposing women and girls to the transformative power of the arts,” said Mia Poinsette, founder and executive director of the Poinsette Foundation. “We hope the evening provided a unique cultural experience and a platform for community building and support.”

Participating organizations included:

  • BeyondFour Foundation – BeyondFour Foundation is dedicated to empowering and transforming communities by providing innovative, inclusive, and educational programs through sports and STEAM initiatives.
  • Empowered Girls Inc. – Empowered Girls Inc. helps bring focus, information, and awareness to four areas of your girls (ages 9-18) growth in life: (1) Life Skills, (2) Education, (3) Health and Wellness and (4) Community Service and Projects.
  • STEPS Inc. – STEPS provides a continuum of quality, comprehensive substance use treatment and education services to individuals.
  • The Greatest Investment (TGI) – The Greatest Investment (TGI) Girls Empowerment Program’s mission is to educate and empower the next generation of strong, confident, and fierce female leaders.
  • WOW Legacy Group Inc. – WOW Legacy Group, Inc. empowers, educates, inspires, and transforms the lives of women and children facing life adversities.
