The “Legacy of Excellence: Phenomenal Black Women in Central Florida”

Presented by the African American Women’s History Month Project, Inc. and The Poinsette Foundation. It acknowledged and celebrated the contributions, achievements, and resilience of African American women who have made a significant impact in Central Florida. This first-of-its-kind exhibit was displayed at the Girl Scouts of Citrus Women’s History and Cultural Center from January to April 2024.

About The Poinsette Foundation

Founded in 2022, the Poinsette Foundation is a living family heirloom committed to empowering and amplifying the voices of underserved women and children of color. Guided by disruptive philanthropy, the organization partners with other nonprofit organizations to address gaps in service, fulfill immediate needs, and lead as a catalyst for change.
